Authentic, hand-carved terracotta replica of Chinese Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di brings the Huang Dynasty and beautiful Asian décor to your home. At the age of 13, Qin ascended to the throne upon his own father’s death. Conquering rival kingdoms, he created China’s first unitary state—and proclaimed himself the first Emperor of China in 221 B.C. His impact on China lasted for centuries as he built extensive systems of roads and canals, standardized weights and measures, and established a single written language, currency and legal statutes. Obsessed with his immortality, Qin commissioned thousands of terracotta warriors be built to protect him in the afterlife. Qin died in 210 B.C. at the age of 49. While Qin’s tomb was never found, the terracotta warriors were unearthed centuries later, bringing the Huang Dynasty to life once again.
